Mike and Lindsay


When I first decided to work out with Mike I saw a picture of my friend in Instagram and couldn't believe how good she looked.  I had just had my second baby and was training for a 1/2 to full marathon but wasn't getting the results I wanted.  I saw my friend at the store and she told me about her trainer.  I called up Mike and made an appointment.  I tried convincing my husband, who already looked good, to come with me. He wasn't interested but agreed to come to the first workout. I thought our first session wouldn't be too hard because I was already in really good running shape.    That was the most humbling experience when it came to our physical fitness. Both my husband and I realized we had to do more.  We thought we would just do it for 12 weeks and now it's been over a year.  I keep thinking it's going to get easier but every week Mike pushes you to give you the best results.  I have gained muscle, lost a little weight, down two sizes, and have never had more confidence in my physical appearance than I have now.   Mikes training is challenging, fun, and well worth it.

Michael Andam is a truly excellent trainer. He knows just how and when to encourage  and when to push. I enjoy every moment training with Mike. His professionalism, extensive knowledge and enthusiastic commitment to his work and ultimately his clients, provides the perfect scenario for success and sets foundations for a new healthier lifestyle! Because of his efforts, I am stronger, healthier, and more active. I have better balance and most importantly, working out has become fun. I highly recommend him without reservation.

Collette and Steve


When I met Michael, he had been working with my husband because he wanted a 6-pack for 60 years old.  I definitely needed to improve some health habits, and my husband told me that Michael would help me. I was unsure about that because I watched how hard Michael worked my husband out at the gym. It wasn’t too long before I was going over to say goodbye to my husband, and Michael would make sure there were some 3lb weights close by, give those to me, and have me do 3 sets of 12 chest presses. I literally cried because I thought they were so heavy. It wasn’t too long before I was won over by that his smile and charming personality that I began my own training regimen with him.  Little did I know what was ahead of me.

When Michael, in our consultation, asked me how much weight I wanted to lose, I told him that was secondary to what I really needed. I needed to get my cholesterol down. LDL was 109, and my blood sugar down, which was 5.8 in about 5-6 weeks. We worked out hard, and when I went back in for my blood draw, my LDL was 99 and my blood sugar was 5.5, both in the range of normal. It only improved from there without the use of any kind of medication. Something that was extremely limited in my nutrition plan, was anything with the word cream in it….ice cream, cream cheese, whipped cream, creamy butter, creamy soups, sour cream, and creamy dressings.

While training with Michael has its difficult moments and quite a bit of really you want me to do what and how many, with lots of “favorite” exercises, it is a pleasure to work out with one of the best trainers around. Some people might feel like they have been tortured during their workouts with him, but my husband and I have come up with our own affectionate term for our workouts. We “Get Michaelized!”

Oh….I did lose weight, and went from a very tight size 14 to a comfortable size 8 through the process of proper nutrition and exercise.  I started out with 3lb weighs, and I have worked up to 12-15 lb weights, I feel very accomplished, and I am comfortable with my body, and I enjoy shopping for new clothes, something I use to dread doing. I can do things now, such as hiking Diamond Head in Hawaii, that 2 years ago would have been very difficult to do, and I would have done my best to avoid participating.
